Whisky Neighbour
Sharing whisky with friends and neighbours brings people together.
Open the bottles you have been fortunate enough to bring home;
the memories you make will outshine any investment or re-sale.
Cheers to good friends and good neighbours!
Over the past decade I have begun to enjoy all types of whisky. My journey began with Scotch in 2010. I was just starting out as a school principal and the outgoing principal bought me a bottle of Scotch, walked into my office, dropped it on the desk and said, “Here, now that you are a school principal, you will need to learn to appreciate Scotch.” That simple statement and gift began an exploration that continues today.

Hosting & Judging
I have only hosted a few whisky tastings formally. Most have been in the basement with good friends or neighbours. However, I am an experienced teacher and love to help people understand what they are tasting and help educate to provide context. If you, our your whisky society would like a host to walk through a flight, please reach out. I would love to help!
I have yet to be called on to Judge a Whisky Festival or Competition. That said, I would offer great insight and bring a depth of real life experience to any event. If you are looking for someone to sit on a panel to review submissions, I am confident I would add professionalism, experience, and perhaps a bit of fun to any event. Contact me!
I am impressed with how many local whisky events are happening in the Edmonton and surrounding area. If you are hosting an event, please let me know and I will add it to the calendar to other people in the the whisky community can find it.
